Grocer creates 95 jobs with the opening of its 145th store in Ontario
PETAWAWA, July 25, 2024 - Today, Food Basics officially opens the doors of its newest location as part of the Petawawa community. The modern, 32,000+ square foot site, located at 3018 Petawawa Blvd. will be the discount banner’s 145th store.
The contemporary retail space Food Basics will feature impressive images on the side of the store from the Garrison Petawawa Military Museum and employ a team of 95. The retailer is giving $5,000 to the Petawawa Pantry Food Bank who is newly affiliated with Feed Ontario – a long-time partner, notably through METRO’s food recovery program One More Bite – a program the store will support.
