Food Basics joins the community of Chelmsford

Chelmsford, October 3, 2019 - Food Basics opened its doors with a grand opening celebration at its newest location in Chelmsford on Thursday, October 3. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held that morning, with Councillor Gerry Montpellier, Paul Bravi, Senior Vice-President, Food Basics, and John Manax, Vice President of Operations, Food Basics. This new store represents a major investment by Food Basics, employing approximately 70 employees.

The new location will feature organic produce and Ontario Lottery & Gaming. In addition, the new modern retail space also offers customers a wide array of its high-quality, budget friendly Irresistibles and Selection products.

“We see great potential in Chelmsford. We look forward to serving the community and becoming residents’ go-to grocer” says John Manax, Vice President of Operations, Food Basics. To emphasize its commitment to playing an active role within Chelmsford, Food Basics presented a cheque for 1,000 to the Friendship House to improve food security for those living in the community.
