RENOVATIONS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED FOR THE METRO MARCHÉ DENIGIL IN STE-DOROTHÉE - A COMPLETELY REINVENTED STORE

Montreal, April 27, 2017 – The inauguration marking the completion of the major renovation work carried out at the Metro Marché Denigil in Ste-Dorothée took place this morning. The renovations began last January and resulted in revamping the 19,000 sq. ft. store from A to Z, thus providing a greatly improved shopping experience: the décor was completely redesigned, more services and products are available to consumers, and no fewer than 5 new jobs were created.

Several members of Metro’s management team and of the Messier family were on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, including Michel Piché, the store’s director, Benoît Gagnon, Director of Operations for groupe Messier, Patrick Hamelin, Operations Supervisor for groupe Messier, Christian Bourbonnière, Executive Vice-President and Quebec Division Head, METRO, and Marc Giroux, Senior Vice President, Metro.

Fresher and more complete
Freshness, one of Metro’s top priorities, is omnipresent inside the store. The impressive colourful produce department includes local products in line with the seasons and fresh-cut fruit. The meat department, along with offering an improved line of products, has a butcher who prepares cuts upon request and provides tips to help customers cook their meat just right. A new fish service counter with a vast selection of fish and seafood is now available to customers. The store also offers a greater choice of prepared dishes for consumers looking for ready-to-eat meals. Finally, consumers can expect to see something new in every department, notably the arrival of a wide array of products from Première Moisson, the well- known Quebec bakery, as well as an extensive selection of gluten-free, organic and ethnic products.

Michel Piché and his team of approximately sixty employees are very proud of their store and invite the local and regional clientele to stop by for a visit.
