Montreal, May 4, 2017 – Customers of the Metro Plus Plouffe in Farnham can now enjoy a completely reinvented supermarket! Following 7 months of renovation work, an 8,000 sq. ft. extension and a $6 million investment, the store, which will now operate under the Metro Plus banner, has been revamped from A to Z: everything has been redesigned and reconfigured to ensure an optimal shopping experience and to provide products with all the attention that they deserve. Along with completely revamping the décor, this complete renovation was also an opportunity to reposition certain departments, add hundreds of new items, and create no fewer than twenty jobs.
Fresher and more complete
Freshness, one of Metro’s top priorities, is omnipresent inside the store. The impressive colourful produce department includes local products in line with the seasons that come directly from local producers, as well as fresh-cut fruit. In the meat department, a team of experts prepares cuts upon request, suggests products and provides tips to help customers cook their meat to perfection. The fish department now includes a new self-serve counter with a vast selection of fish and seafood, as well as a newly-installed lobster tank. For consumers looking for ready-to-eat meals, the Metro Plus now offers high-quality takeout dishes, including the famous oven-cooked pizzas, right on-site. These choices complete the broad range of dishes prepared in-store. Finally, consumers can expect to see something new in every department, notably the arrival of a wide array of products from Première Moisson, the well-known Quebec bakery, a large choice of beer from microbreweries, as well as an extensive selection of gluten-free and organic products.
Owners Patrick and Daniel Plouffe, along with their entire team of 80 of employees, are very proud of their store and invite the local and regional clientele to stop by for a visit.
