METRO wins two Impact Awards from Canadian Grocer magazine
METRO is proud to have won two Impact Awards from the Canadian Grocer magazine.
Our One More Bite and Out of Reach programs were recognized in the Sustainability and Community Service categories respectively.
The Impact Awards recognize the work of Canadian grocery retail and CPG businesses that are going above and beyond to make the world a better place.
As a reminder, METRO’s food recovery program, One More Bite, has redistributed the equivalent of more than 9.4 million meals in Quebec and Ontario in 2021. The Out of Reach campaign in Ontario has raised a total of $2.6 million, thanks in large part to the generosity of our customers.
These awards recognize initiatives that are important to us and reflect our purpose of Nourishing the health and well-being of our communities. Working together, we are taking concrete steps to create lasting change that will leave us stronger – and healthier – than ever before.
