METRO donates $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal
 

Montreal, March 7, 2022 –  METRO stands with Ukraine and its people in their brave fight. Today, the Company announces a $100,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. 

“We know this devastating war hits close to home for many of our employees and customers who have family and friends living in Ukraine and METRO wants to show its support,” said Eric La Flèche, President and CEO, METRO Inc. 

A fundraiser will also be deployed across the Metro, Food Basics, Super C, Première Moisson, Adonis, Jean Coutu and Brunet banners in Ontario, Québec and New Brunswick to appeal to the generosity of our customers to support Ukraine. Customers who wish to do so will be asked to support by adding a $2 donation at checkout.

All money raised will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.
