Metro Cumberland Unveils a Fresh New Look


The renovated store reopens with a new look and product offering

OTTAWA, ON, May 16, 2018 – Metro Cumberland will celebrate its grand reopening after undergoing extensive renovations on Thursday, May 17 at 4510 Innes Road, Orleans, and will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

Featuring organic meats and produce, fresh sustainable seafood with expert advice, a selection of fine cheeses, wine and beer, made-to-order pizza and artisanal breads, fresh juices, cut fruit, and salads, and cakes and pastries made on-site, Metro Cumberland’s enhanced product offering will be a welcomed addition to the community looking for fresh and local grocery needs. Metro Cumberland is also expanding their services which include a Starbucks kiosk, a Nature’s Signature natural dispensary, and an in-store pharmacy to offer customers the ultimate ease of shopping and convenience.

“As the neighbourhood grocery store, Metro recognizes that Orleans is growing and changing. We are excited to reopen the Cumberland store and offer a grocery experience and expanded product selection tailored to the local community,” says Joe Fusco, Senior Vice President, Metro.

To celebrate the reopening, Metro Cumberland will have the Metro Summer Lounge with food sampling. While customers relax in the lounge, personal shoppers will be available do their grocery shop in store. Orleans native and local hockey player Cody Ceci, will make a personal appearance from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.. On Friday, May 18, local cover band Highway Sunrise will play a live show in the Metro Summer Lounge.
