Value-focused grocer opens newest location on January 25
Toronto, ON, January 25, 2018 – Food Basics will open its doors to a brand-new location as of 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Bradford, ON at 565 Langford Boulevard. A grand opening celebration will be held for the public that morning, featuring coffee, donuts, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Mayor Rob Keffer at 7:45 a.m.
With over 33,000 sq. ft. of modern retail space, Food Basics’ newest store will feature a hot BBQ chicken station, lottery (OLG), Western Union and Coinstar. The grocer will also offer customers a wide array of its high-quality, budget-friendly Irresistibles and Selection store brand products.
“This brand-new, large format store features our latest contemporary design with an all-glass entryway, bright lights and airy fixtures, making for an easy grocery shopping experience,” says Paul Bravi, Senior Vice President, Food Basics. “And at Food Basics, our Bradford customers don’t have to compromise to find great prices. We have a variety of great quality, fresh products that still let them save for other little things in life, like a new pair of shoes, a weekend getaway, or electronics.”
To emphasize its commitment to playing an active role in the communities in which it operates, Food Basics will present a cheque to the Newmarket Food Pantry, a member of the Ontario Association of Food Banks of which Food Basics is a charitable partner.
Food Basics operates its stores based on three guiding pillars: Always Fresh, Always in Stock and Always Great Prices. The in-stock promise features a rain check, plus 10 per cent off the advertised price of items in the Food Basics weekly flyer, so customers can take advantage of great deals on their next visit.
On now until February 14, Food Basics’ Big Brands Savings Event features big savings on big brands in store. Customers can check out deals on the Food Basics Facebook page, or in the flyer at foodbasics.ca.
