Montreal, August 24, 2017 – The inauguration marking the completion of the renovation work carried out at the Metro avenue du Parc took place this morning. Following 3 months of work and a $2.7 million investment, the 27,000 sq. ft. store was revamped from A to Z to ensure an optimal shopping experience and to provide products with all the attention they deserve. Along with entirely redesigning the décor, the renovations also resulted in adding hundreds of new items, and no fewer than 15 new jobs were created.
Fresher and more complete
Freshness, one of Metro’s top priorities, is omnipresent inside the store. The colourful produce department includes products in line with the seasons from local producers and fresh-cut fruit. A complete overhaul of the bakery area allows access to a wider variety of pastries and products from Première Moisson, the well- known Quebec bakery. In the meat department, a team of professionals prepares cuts upon request, suggests products and provides tips to help customers cook their meat perfectly. Several prepared takeout dishes, including delicious pizza made and cooked on-site and a sushi counter are available for people who want a quick lunch or who don’t have time to cook at home. Finally, consumers can expect to see hundreds of new items in every department, notably an offering of fine cheeses and improved deli items, as well as the arrival of a wide range of gluten-free and organic products.
Store owner Isabelle Pierre-Auguste, along with her team of 95 employees, are very proud of their store and invite the local and regional clientele to stop by for a visit.
