(Montréal, November 28th, 2011) – Metro is pleased to announce that it has reached a 10-year agreement with its 450 employees belonging to the syndicat des travailleurs et des travailleuses des épiciers unis Metro-Richelieu (STTEUMR) affiliated with la Fédération du commerce – CSN.
Presented yesterday at a general assembly, the agreement was ratified by 82% of head office employees, Montreal grocery distribution centre transportation employees and Montreal produce warehouse employees. The agreement, which will be signed in the coming days, will bring corporate stability and industrial peace to the company, enabling it to remain competitive in its market.
