(Montreal, September 29, 2010) – Guy Lachance, pharmacist-owner, is proud to announce the opening of Quebec's 125th Brunet store in Montreal. Located at 2185 Mont-Royal East, this latest Brunet Plus store features the chain's latest concept. An investment of over $1.5 million went into opening this 10,000-square-foot store, which created 20 new jobs.
Plateau Mont-Royal residents will find a broad range of solutions to their pharmaceutical needs at this new Brunet Plus, such as a prescription monitoring service, disposal of expired medications, a pillbox service and photo finishing, as well as the sale and rental of orthopaedic equipment. Other services include a wider selection of natural foods, seasonal products, greeting cards, and health and beauty products, as well as an entire section devoted to skin care products, which will be stocked with well-known brands such as La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Roc and Avène.
"Quebecers want a relationship of trust and confidence with their pharmacist, who is increasingly taking on a role of primary caregiver when it comes to health issues. We at Brunet have worked hard on fostering this relationship for over 155 years, a fact that is obvious at Mr. Lachance's store," noted Serge Boulanger, Vice-President and General Manager of McMahon Distributeur pharmaceutique inc., the company that owns the Brunet banner.
Mr. Lachance has been active in the pharmaceutical sector for close to 15 years. He owns another Brunet store on Sainte-Catherine St. in Montreal, a Brunet Clinique in Westmount and a Clini-Plus in Hudson.
