Montréal, April 6 2017 – Customers of the Metro Plus Place Ste-Foy can now enjoy a completely reinvented supermarket! Following 7 months of work and an investment of $5.8 Million, the new supermarket, which will now operate under the Metro Plus banner, was designed to ensure an optimal shopping experience and to showcase products. Along with completely changing the décor, the move also resulted in an additional 20,000 square feet, thousands of new items products? and the creation of 20 new jobs.
More selection, fresher
Freshness, one of Metro’s top priorities, is omnipresent inside the store. The impressive and colourful produce department includes several products that come directly from local producers according to the season, and a fresh-cut fruit counter. In the meat department, a team of experts prepares customized cuts, provides suggestions on products as well as tips for the perfect way to cook your meats. A new service counter provides a wide variety of fish and seafood, as well as an assortment of smoked- in-store fish options.. For consumers looking for a ready-to-eat meal solution, the new Metro Plus offers Thai dishes and sushi for take out or to eat in-store in their Bistro area. These new offerings round out tan already extensive line of dishes cooked in-store. A wide array of products from Première Moisson, the well-known Quebec artisanal bakery, along with a great selection of gluten-free, organic and ethnic products are also now available. In the end, customers will be able to enjoy new items across all departments with our offering growing from 15,000 products to over 22,000.
