"I started my career at Metro almost 12 years ago as a Co-op student and was offered a position as I graduated from school to work in the Human Resources department as an assistant in our distribution centres. From there I have progressed through several different roles such as a coordinator, SAP Business Analyst and my current role leading the recruitment team for our Ontario office. I enjoy the fast paced environment and challenges that face us every day. People who ask me why I chose to work for Metro, I tell them the people that work at Metro are what makes it a great place to work."

Administrator/Technician

“I have spent my career in the Loss Prevention Department, and over twenty eight years the position has morphed and evolved to roles such as Senior Secretary, Senior Coordinator, Supervisor, and Administrator. After much evolvement, I am currently employed as an Administrator/Technician at Metro. Metro’s culture can be best defined by its vision “to be the best performing food retailer in Canada”. It provides employees the tools, opportunities, personal respect and encouragement they need to successfully contribute to the company vision. I am proud to work for Metro, because of its dedication to give back to the community. Working for a company that recognizes its social responsibilities makes me very proud!”

“Over the past thirteen years, Metro has offered me a secure and rewarding career. I began working as an Assistant Store Manager and after some time was promoted to a Loss Prevention Investigator. I enjoy coming to work every day, because of the fun employees and rewarding atmosphere. Working at Metro has made me very proud, because of its continuous involvement with social and community programs. This has helped create more loyal customers and happier employees – like myself!”
